To find the best value all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, we have searched some of the most reputable websites, among them Booking, Expedia and Apple Vacations. We have checked prices for different dates, among them low season and high season (check here for further information about the seasons in Punta Cana). We have taken the lowest rate (usually refundable) of each budget all-inclusive resort. However, to make it to this list, the Punta Cana all-inclusive resort must fulfill ALL of the following requirements:
– cost no more than 2000 USD in high season (per week per double room)
– cost no more than 1750 USD in shoulder season (per week per double room)

1) Catalonia Bavaro (Punta Cana)
The first affordable all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana 2023 is Catalonia Punta Cana.
Catalonia Bavaro, which is also referred to on some booking websites as Catalonia Punta Cana or Catalonia Bavaro Beach, is a great budget choice when looking for affordable all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana. It is home to a particularly beautiful section of beach in Cabeza de Toro and counts with plenty of palm trees, a wide stretch of sand, tropical decoration and plenty of areas to relax. This best price all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana also counts with a large tropical garden, some artificial lakes and some cool romantic hidden spots.
Catalonia Bavaro and Catalonia Punta Cana (not to confuse with Catalonia Royal Bavaro, the neighboring upper-tier resort of Catalonia), which are two different names for one resort with the same amenities and on the same property, also feature a golf course right next door. However, the main attractions are its beautiful grounds, the prime beachfront location for one of the buffet restaurants and the natural swimming pool in the ocean you can walk to right from the beach.
To be honest, it can be discussed if Catalonia Punta Cana shall be the No. 1 in this list of the best affordable resorts in Punta Cana. For me, it is the No. 1 if a lot of activities, a shallow ocean, fresh smoothies at the beach (from the gorgeous Mahoo Juice Bar), a huge and well-balanced buffet as well as cheap upgrade options are your crucial points when deciding on a budget vacation in Punta Cana. However, if modern rooms and an amazing rooftop bar with ocean views are your top priority, the No. 3 Caribe Princess Deluxe is much better, while the No. 2, Grand Sirenis Punta Cana is the best affordable all-inclusive resort when you’re traveling to Punta Cana as a family.

2) Grand Sirenis Punta Cana

Even though it is not as newly built as Serenade Punta Cana, it got completely renovated in 2019 and therefore offers super modern rooms, a great design and a very pleasant vibe. Particularly the rooms were designed with attention to detail and are some of the most contemporary you can find among this list of the best value all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana.
Similar to Serenade Punta Cana, Grand Sirenis Punta Cana features outstanding restaurants, among them 2 buffets and 7 à-la-cartes. Particularly the Mediterranean restaurant is top-notch with some delicious seafood, considering we are talking about an affordable Caribbean all-inclusive resort.
The most important amenity of this affordable all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic is the water park. Luxury Bahía Principe Esmeralda completes the podium when it comes to the best affordable Punta Cana all-inclusive resorts. It’s one of the beachfront properties among the large Bahía complex in Punta Cana and is suitable for adults and families alike.
Bahía Luxury Esmeralda is definitely not your best-value all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana when you’re focusing on modern rooms with contemporary design. To be honest, the rooms are pretty old at this budget hotel in Punta Cana (but still sparkling clean and well-maintained). But that’s it about the negative things. When you see all the other features and amenities, you know why Bahía Principe Luxury Esmeralds is a great affordable hotel in Punta Cana.
Some of these outstanding amenities, particularly compared to other similar-priced resorts, are:

Thanks to those shared facilities (for example with Luxury Bahía Ambar or Bahía Principe Punta Cana), you can choose among more restaurants and more activities. 4) Caribe Deluxe Princess
Caribe Deluxe Princess (also known as Tropical Deluxe Princess) is sharply missing the podium of the best value all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, even though this doesn’t mean that it is less attractive. While you shouldn’t expect the same amount of choices when it comes to activities, liquors or à-la-carte restaurants than at Luxury Bahía Esmeralda, Caribe Deluxe Princess is also significantly cheaper (on average around 200 USD per double room per week, during summer even up to 400 USD), hence it is a great option as an affordable all-inclusive resort when traveling to Punta Cana on a budget.
Furthermore, compared to other hotels on this list, such as Catalonia Punta Cana or Be Live Adults Only, Caribe Deluxe Princess offers absolutely modern rooms, which were completely renovated just in 2020 and are now featuring contemporary design and a fresh tropical feel. Some rooms even have a great ocean view.
When booking (or researching) Caribe Deluxe Princess, it is important to know that it shares the property with Tropical Deluxe Princess. Both value hotels in Punta Cana have the same facilities, similar rooms and the same services for guests. You can book either one, it won’t matter. It is also recommended to check the prices of both resorts, as they sometimes might vary.
Two more things are important to know about Caribe and Tropical Deluxe Princess: thanks to their several family amenities, including kids club, mini golf and many other kids activities as well as the water park for kids and the very well-designed family suites (check the Tropical Deluxe Princess review for details), Caribe Deluxe Princess is a great family resort in Punta Cana. But also adults get their money’s worth, particularly thanks to the amazing two-story beach house with its gorgeous ocean view from the (adults-only) bar on the second floor – one of the best ocean-view bars in the entire Punta Cana resort industry.

5) Bahía Principe Grand Aquamarine
Bahía Principe Grand Aquamarine is the best adults-only resort you can find among the best price all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana. It combines large tropical premises with exactly the right amount of services and amenities, making it a great value option in Punta Cana. It belongs to the large Bahía Resort property, where you can read more about it in the Bahía Principe Luxury Esmeralda review.
Bahía Principe Grand Aquamarine has two features other affordable Punta Cana all-inclusive resorts hardly can compete with. First, they focus on activities and entertainment, as it is a very social adults-only resort. It will be easy to get to know like-minded travelers, even though it is not a party resort in Punta Cana. There is also a large selection of sports and amenities throughout the resort.
Second, Bahía Principe Grand Aquamarine guests also do have access to the centric and newly-built Bahía beach club called Las Olas Beach House, with some great specialty restaurants and some of the best wood-oven pizzas you can get at Punta Canas’ beaches.
Besides this, the hotel is a great value all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, with a perfect combination of low prices and upscale amenities, even though the rooms are a bit old.

6) Be Live Punta Cana Adults Only
When looking for adults-only resorts in Punta Cana, you mostly (apart from just presented Grand Bahía Principe Aquamarine) find high-end and premium hotels, which are far away from being affordable. Be Live Punta Cana Adults Only is an interesting alternative, which is adults-only AND affordable.
Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only is particularly interesting, if you’re looking for affordable swim-up rooms in Punta Cana, as those are among the cheapest in the industry. Furthermore, it is great if you value premium spirits, a separate lounge area and a mostly seaweed-free beach. The hotel is also very small, hence it is a great option if you don’t want to walk a lot.
On the other side, I would not recommend this affordable Punta Cana all-inclusive resort to foodies or lovers of à-la-carte restaurants, as reservations are required, which are sometimes a bit hard to get. Furthermore, the buffet sometimes lacks a bit of variety, even though you can choose between two different buffet restaurants.
What’s important to know when considering Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only is that it is a stand-alone hotel within the main resort, Be Live Collection Punta Cana. This means Be Live Adults Only has all the necessary services and amenities (except a theatre or entertainment stage) to operate as an independent hotel, but you still have access to neighboring Be Live Collection Punta Cana for additional restaurant choices or more pool activities. This also means that it is one of the best hotels to relax, as it is one of the quietest options among all the affordable Punta Cana resorts on this list. If you need action and entertainment, you can head over to the neighboring main resort.

Another hotel that is a new addition to the list of the best affordable all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana 2023 is Ocean El Faro. This recently-built resort – opened in 2019 – is located in Uvero Alto, an area a bit further north from the tourism center of Punta Cana with its dozens of all-inclusive resorts. While the beach at Ocean El Faro is not among the top beaches in Punta Cana, the resort particularly can convince with its modern design, the beautiful lighthouse and a large selection of restaurants and bars.

Ocean El Faro is a perfect resort for families, singles, groups and couples, as it offers something for everyone. While the family water park will be great for kids visiting this affordable Punta Cana hotel, couples will love the Privilege Area and the outdoor jacuzzi. Active guests can enjoy 2 tennis courts, a gym and 1 multi-sports court, while those who solely arrive to relax will love the lazy river and the 4 pools. Furthermore, Ocean El Faro features 10 restaurants and 13 bars, offering a particularly large selection of culinary options.
Ocean El Faro also is home to a separate adults-only section called Ocean El Faro – El Beso, which can be booked separately. It is a dedicated area within the resort exclusively for guests of 18 years and over, which has access to the entire services of the resort.

Impressive Premium is one of the few affordable Punta Cana resorts, which also makes it to the list of the cheapest resorts in Punta Cana. In both rankings, it scores the 8th position, which means that it is cheap, affordable and offers a very good price-value ratio.
Impressive Premium is the high-tier resort of both Impressive Hotels in Punta Cana and is located right at Bavaro Beach, one of the longest and best beaches in Punta Cana. It makes it to the list of the best affordable all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana as it not only offers cheap prices (particularly during the shoulder season in summer it displayed the fifth lowest prices among all Punta Cana resorts in our test), but it also can convince with a very good combination of a centric location, delicious food, effective service and comfortable rooms.

9) Bahía Principe Grand Bavaro
Bahía Principe Grand Bavaro is another Bahía brand in our ranking of the best affordable all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana. Comparing all the different resorts in 2022, this hotel offers the best price among all the Bahía hotels.
Bahía Principe Grand Bavaro is popular for its outstanding price-value ratio, the large selection of activities and sports (among them tennis, minigolf, watersports, gym, pool diving and table tennis) and a beautiful beach section with a newly renovated beach club, the Las Olas Beach House already mentioned at Bahía Principe Aquamarine. The best price all-inclusive resort belongs also to one of the largest properties in Punta Cana, allowing enough time to explore the grounds and providing extensive lush tropical gardens. However, be prepared that your room is most likely a few minutes walking away from the beach as this Caribbean resort is pretty spread-out.

10) Riu Bambu
Riu Bambu is one of the most affordable all-inclusive resorts when it comes to club hotels in Punta Cana. It offers plenty of activities and entertainment, particularly at the five swimming pools, the beach and at night in the big open-air theatre. You can also enjoy the RIU disco and the RIU party world, a specifically designed area for day and nighttime entertainment within the RIU resort complex.
Interestingly enough, Riu Bambu is one of the very few resorts in Punta Cana where the prices decreased in 2023 compared to our sample prices from 2022.
Due to its very active vibe, Riu Bambu is perfect for those looking to connect with fellow travelers. But this affordable Punta Cana all-inclusive resort is also a very suitable family option, as there are several quiet areas including a toddlers park. For kids and teens seeking adventure and some thrilling holidays, RIU Bambu features also one of the biggest water parks in Punta Cana, the RIU Splash Water World, which is nearly as big as the water park at Grand Sirenis Punta Cana.
While the rooms at RIU Bambu are already a bit older, restaurant offers are in line with other best value all-inclusive resorts as RIU Bambu offers 7 different restaurants, among them several international specialty restaurants, along with at least 5 bars, where all the local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included 24 hours a day.
If you’d prefer better rooms and can afford to pay a little bit more, you can also check out RIU Palace Punta Cana, which offers the same shared areas such as the party area or the RIU Splash Water World, but is one level higher in terms of quality and service.

Another very affordable hotel in Punta Cana is AC Hotel by Marriott Punta Cana. It is not an all-inclusive resort, but it is an interesting option for you if you’d like to enjoy comfort, service, decent entertainment and well-selected food without the hustle and bustle of the big city. Furthermore, it is a great option if you want to experience the nightlife in Punta Cana, as it is the only hotel located in the nightlife area of Downtown Punta Cana and just a few minutes’ walking away from Coco Bongo Punta Cana.

AC Hotel by Marriott Punta Cana is a newly-built hotel that only opened in 2020, which offers super modern city-style rooms and a great continental breakfast buffet with hand-selected items. This marks a great base if you want to enjoy Punta Cana and the Dominican Republic on your own, even though you can also enjoy a large pool which is usually far away from being crowded (particularly compared to some of the all-inclusive resorts) with very elegant and comfy sun loungers as well as occasional entertainment such as live music or wine tastings.
However, AC Hotel Punta Cana is also a feasible option if you’re looking for a Punta Cana all-inclusive hotel, but are being put off by the large crowds, giant buffets, long ways to walk or the impersonal service. In this case, Punta Canas’ Marriott AC Hotel can also serve as your vacation hotel, as you can have lunch, dinner and snacks throughout the day plus super fancy drinks.

The following resorts have been part of this list in previous years, but haven’t made it to the top 10 of the best affordable all-inclusive resorts 2023 in Punta Cana for different reasons. Why they haven’t made it and why they are still worth a closer look can be read with each description below.
Serenade Punta Cana
The former No. 1 of the list with the best affordable Punta Cana all-inclusive resorts has completely dropped out of the list, as Serenade Punta Cana is missing the maximum weekly rate of 2000 USD during the high season by approx. 300 USD, charging around 2300 USD for our sample week in February. Considering it was the best value all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana last year and always received great reviews, it is no surprise that Serenade Punta Cana was able to significantly raise their rates.
Serenade is a newly opened (2020) all-inclusive resort in the area of Cabeza de Toro, one of the areas closest to Punta Cana International Airport, just a 15-minute drive away. This affordable all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana opened its doors only two years ago (around November 2020) and is therefore completely new, with all the amenities you can expect from a newly-built Punta Cana resort. Modern even though not spectacular rooms, a super contemporary and cozy lobby, comfy lounges and spacious pool areas are what you can expect at Serenade Punta Cana. They also have a water park in their Punta Cana resort, which is perfect for kids.
Furthermore, it is amazing that you have all the premium liquor brands included, such as Baileys, Tanqueray Gin or Agavita Tequila. Additionally, the food is on a pretty high level, even though this is reflected in the rates in the meantime. Radisson Blu Resort & Residence Punta Cana
Radisson Blu is another newly-opened hotel when it comes to our best affordable all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana and the Caribbean. Interestingly enough, it is very similar to Serenade Punta Cana. It offers a perfect value for money, is located in Cabeza de Toro, opened its doors just weeks before Serenade (hence in 2020 as well) and is the neighbor of Serenade. The main attraction at Radisson Blu is that you can enjoy a contemporary and new resort for the price of a Punta Cana budget resort.
However, also the price at Radisson Blu has significantly increased since the last year, particularly during the low season. Regarding our ranking of the best affordable Punta Cana all-inclusive resorts 2023, the hotel doesn’t qualify, as their low season prices are currently too high and over the maximum of 1500 USD per room per week.
As Radisson Blu Punta Cana is an apartment property, you can count on particular spacious suites – probably the most spacious among all the hotels on this list of the best affordable all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana. In fact, Radisson Blu is an all-suites hotel, with all the rooms featuring a size of at least 500 square feet or more.
Besides 5 restaurants, large pools and tropical gardens, one of the most beautiful areas of this value all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana is the beach area, which features a fantastic beach club, plenty of palm trees and easy water access.

Vista Sol Punta Cana is like a hidden gem among the best value all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana and is only not listed in the top 10 because it misses the cut-off limit by a marginal 16 USD, displaying a price of 2016 USD per week per double room during the high season for our sample period in February. It is usually not that much referred to when talking about the best affordable Punta Cana resorts, but it offers an outstanding price-value ratio with colorful modern rooms, a well-maintained garden and pool area as well as decent à-la-carte dinners.
Vista Sol Punta Cana is one of the smaller all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana and is located in the center of Bavaro, between Punta Canas’ beaches of El Cortecito and Corales. Therefore, it is perfectly suitable for those wanting to immerse in Dominican life, as local bars, the Punta Cana nightlife, shops and other parts of the beach are just a short walk away.
Vista Sol offers all the amenities you expect from a well-managed affordable all-inclusive resort, such as daily entertainment, an aquatic center with included non-motorized watersports, various à-la-carte restaurants and 2 pool areas. This Punta Cana hotel is a low-key resort with a well-maintained garden, where you find a decent mix of tranquility and activities. Vista Sol is perfect for everyone looking for a best price all-inclusive stay in Punta Cana. Its centric location is ideal to explore the surrounding area.

Occidental Caribe
Occidental Caribe is another affordable all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic in this list which has been on our list of the affordable resorts in Punta Cana 2022. However, we decided to not include it for 2023. While it meets all the price targets, it lacks some unique characteristics compared to the other affordable Punta Cana resorts presented here. This by all means doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t consider this hotel. Particularly if you’re traveling to Punta Cana on a budget, you can seriously think about this option as it marks the 4th position in our list of the cheapest hotels in Punta Cana.
While the rooms are pretty old and would need a renovation (but who travels to the Caribbean to be most of the time in the room), they also come with a big advantage. All of them are as close to the beach as in none of the other affordable all-inclusive resorts. This is due to Occidental Caribe being a very compact resort with a rather large building instead of a spread-out layout many other Punta Cana resorts are offering. Therefore, if you’d like to have your room close to the budget without paying more, Occidental Caribe is your perfect choice.
Besides the room location, Occidental Caribe features some decent à-la-carte restaurants and a large main buffet with plenty of selection, including a lot of healthy salads, Dominican favorites and international food. Additionally, the drinks are on the better side, even though not comparable with Serenade Punta Cana or Bahía Principe Grand Aquamarine.

Occidental Punta Cana
The same what was written for Occidental Caribe is also valid for Occidental Punta Cana when it comes to the best affordable all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana 2023. Decent service, good quality, ok room, but nothing unique or spectacular to make it to this hand-selected list.
Occidental Punta Cana is the premium sister of Occidental Caribe, but it is a completely different property in a different location. While usually more expensive than Occidental Caribe, Occidental Punta Cana still falls within the budget restrictions we have set for this list of the best affordable resorts in Punta Cana – perfect for all-inclusive budget travelers to the Dominican Republic.
Compared to Occidental Caribe, Occidental Punta Cana features a more widespread layout with several smaller buildings, totaling up to a room count of 860. 3 pool areas, 11 restaurants and 10 bars are impressive numbers for an individual hotel, even though some of these areas are reserved for the Royal Level of the hotel. This VIP tier of Occidental Punta Cana, which also suits demanding guests, is perfect if you prefer enhanced amenities and personal treatment. Obviously, the prices for the Royal Level don’t meet the budget criteria for the best value all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean.
Occidental Punta Cana is suitable for beach lovers looking for a perfect stretch of sand without blasting their travel budget. It is an affordable resort in Punta Cana, perfect for a budget vacation in Punta Cana.
