Catskill Fire Tower Challenge: UPDATED 2023 season info – Department of Environmental Conservation sets up challenge through year’s end to visit each of the six fire towers in Catskill Park and submit info about each visit to earn recognition and prizes. Towers on Balsam Lake Mountain (Hardenburgh), Hunter Mountain (Hunter), Overlook Mountain (Woodstock), Red Hill Mountain (Denning), Tremper Mountain (Shandaken) and the Upper Espopus Fire Tower (Mount Tremper, Hinchey Catskills Visitor Center).
