What’s Different & What’s The Same

It’s amusing how your perception of age modifications as you age. I did my initial solo trip to one more continent back when I was 17 — and at the time, I would have most likely believed that 39 is suuuper aged.
Now that I’m 39 I really don’t really consider I’m old. I just feel I’m “normal/ordinary age”. Ha!
However, I’m frequently reminded that the way I vacation at 39 is different than when I was more youthful, like when I was 17 on my first big solo adventure or when I was backpacking in my twenties.
On a morning hike on my modern Colombia excursion, I recorded a couple ideas on how things are different exactly. But quite a few features of my travels also haven’t modified practically as much as I would have imagined.
