“Beloved” local meteorologist attacked in his home

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – 19 Information meteorologist Jon Loufman was attacked and seriously crushed in his dwelling on July 9, in accordance to Bay Village law enforcement.

Loufman has been hospitalized considering the fact that the attack, and in accordance to police, was in secure condition.

Officers arrested Loufman’s son, Daniel Loufman.

He is billed with felonious assault and is now remaining held on a 1 million greenback bond.

Julia Loufman, Jon’s spouse, was also arrested and is being charged with obstructing justice for the duration of the investigation.

She is becoming held on a $30,000 bond.

The two Julia and Daniel Loufman pleaded not responsible to the costs they ended up arraigned by way of movie this afternoon in Rocky River municipal court docket.

Jon Loufman has been fixture on Cleveland tv for many years and was inducted into the Ohio Broadcaster Corridor of Fame in 2002.

In addition to tv, Jon is active in the area soccer local community and has a passion for instructing.

He has traveled to hundreds of regional colleges to current his “Atmosphere Adventures” software.

Loufman also taught meteorology at Situation Western Reserve College and Lakeland Community College.
