Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday ... when does it end?
Not until after Travel Tuesday.
For frequent flyers and those looking to get away, there are plenty of travel hacks to get the best deals on flights.
But then there’s Travel Tuesday, when many booking sites and airlines participate in doorbuster deals.
Travel Tuesday takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 28. this year, so mark your calendars and charge up your laptops now.
The savings “holiday” only began picking up popularity in 2017, and after a dip during COVID in 2020 and 2021, deals on flights, hotels, cruises and more are back and better than ever as the world returns to normal travel.

“Travel Tuesday is the travel industry’s version of Black Friday when you can snag remarkable discounts and exclusive offers on flights, hotels, and vacation packages,” Expedia travel expert Melanie Fish told The Post. “I’d like to think it came from the move to people wanting to give more experiences than stuff for the holidays.”
Even though the event has “Tuesday” in the name, shoppers can expect some deals to begin as early as Black Friday, especially at top retailers like Expedia, Priceline and Hilton, to name a few.
However, according to Hopper.com, last year’s Travel Tuesday had roughly 78% more deals than Cyber Monday — and two times the number of travel deals than Black Friday.
“Based on the data, searches for ‘Travel Tuesday’ have been growing over the past few years, except for during the height of the pandemic,” explained Fish. “In 2022, the number of Google searches for ‘Travel Tuesday’ appeared to be about 25% higher than in 2019, and with the current interest exploding on TikTok, I would put money on the term taking off even more this year.”
This sale is great news for those that fall in line with 85% of US travelers as, according to a survey by Skyscanner, Americans plan to take the same or more trips abroad this year compared to last.
“Although value for money remains a key factor with travelers wanting more bang for their buck, 39% are planning to spend more on travel in 2024 than 2023,” reads the site.
When is Travel Tuesday
Travel Tuesday officially begins at 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 28. However, deals may start as early as Black Friday, so it is advised to begin looking for deals starting as soon as the evening of Nov. 23 — Thanksgiving Day.
How much people can expect to save when booking on Travel Tuesday
Savings will depend on how savvy of a shopper you are, but according to Hopper.com, travelers save more than 60% on trips, both domestic and international.

Tips for shopping on Travel Tuesday
Plan Ahead: “Know what you’re looking for before the big day,” Fish told The Post. “Whether it’s a beach retreat, a city escape, or a mountain adventure, having a clear idea of your travel goals will help you filter through the plethora of deals more efficiently.”
Pay Attention to Black Out Dates: When booking travel, especially on sale, the fine print is a must-read. Typically black-out dates fall over major holidays like Christmas and New Year’s Eve but can also include specific days of the week or seasons, depending on the destination.
Read Reviews: “Before making a decision, take a moment to read reviews from other travelers,” suggested Fish. “This can provide valuable insights into the quality of accommodations, airlines, or packages you’re considering.”
The Hotels.com and Expedia apps offer other handy possibilities, too.
“You can filter for reviews by traveler such as couples or family-friendly to find properties that fit your preferences,” she added.
