Ice storm leaves at least 6 dead in Texas in slick travel conditions

Hazardous wintertime weather conditions impacted a substantial section of the state this week, resulting in widespread electrical power outages and inadequate highway problems that led to fatal crashes.

Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders declared a condition of crisis because of to the storm. In Tennessee, Memphis-Shelby County Educational facilities announced lessons would be canceled on Wednesday thanks to freezing rain and harmful street ailments.

“Travel conditions will go on to be harmful into Wednesday night time and Thursday with a lot more sleet and freezing rain predicted,” the business tweeted. “Temperatures will little by little climb above freezing in central Texas Wednesday night time and Thursday early morning throughout most of north Texas.”
