Ice storm leaves at least 6 dead in Texas in slick travel conditions

Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders declared a condition of crisis because of to the storm. In Tennessee, Memphis-Shelby County Educational facilities announced lessons would be canceled on Wednesday thanks to freezing rain and harmful street ailments.

The National Weather Support in the Dallas-Fort Well worth location said it had set a new day-to-day snowfall file of 1.3 inches, beating one established in 1985.

Travel conditions will go on to be harmful into Wednesday night time and Thursday with a lot more sleet and freezing rain predicted,” the business tweeted. “Temperatures will little by little climb above freezing in central Texas Wednesday night time and Thursday early morning throughout most of north Texas.”
