West travels to Anderson County in the Knox News Game of the Week that leads Week 8 in Tennessee high school football on Friday.

West is looking for a bounce-back game following last week’s loss to Alcoa that broke a 21-game winning streak. It’ll be a difficult task against Anderson County, who has won four games in a row after starting 0-3.

Also on Friday: Region 2-6A continues to be sorted out as Bearden hosts Cleveland. Farragut’s tough luck in close games may be tested again in a non-region game against Oak Ridge. And Powell faces Central as we figure out how just how good the Panthers may be as the calendar turns to October.
